To whom it may concern,

My company, RA Entertainment was the main organizer of the New York Ballet Gala of the Bucharest National Opera. This successful event took place in December, 2015 at Lincoln Center in New York City.
I have been organizing events in the US for over 15 years and working with Johan Kobborg was by far one of the most pleasant and professional experiences. The admiration that the dancers have for their Director is without limits.

Together with Alina Cojocaru, Mr. Kobborg was able to bring the best international ballet dancers from all over the world, such as Ulyana Lopatkina, Tamara Rojo, Daniil Shimkin and Friedemann Vogel. The audience consisted of over 900 people and tens of critics.

Below are some links to the media coverage that this event received.

This first time appearance of the Romanian National Ballet Company in the US had the utmost success and positive impact. The prestigious City Center of New York reacted by inviting the Company to participate at their October Ballet Festival in 2016 and Israel also intended to invite the company to dance in their country.

Unfortunately due to visas processing issues the promotion was delayed and the budged went over the estimated by over $90,000. There were no funds raised at the Event, but post event donations are at this moment of $3,000. Beside the payment towards visa expenses of 3955$, Alina Cojocaru also personally contributed towards the RA Entertainment loss with the sum of $2,970 after bank Transfer fees applied.

RA Entertainment took this very large financial loss with the hope that the immense success and dedication of the Ballet Company will continue for many years to come. I must again note that based on this gala, the ONB ballet company was invited to participate in the upcoming Fall for Dance festival at the New York City Center, and we were also working on planning another Charity Gala in late 2016.

I am extremely proud of Johan Kobborg and the very high standard he raised at ONB, which deservedly won such acclaim for the dancers and Romania.

Raluca Gold-Fuchs
President, RA Entertainment
